[ESX] Connect to ESX shell console using SSH Key

Connect to ESX using SSH

If not exists, create folder & file :

/etc/ssh/keys-<ESX_USERNAME>/authorized_keys

Copy/Paste the public key of the remote used.

Play with VM snapshots and linked-clones with ESXi command line tools Freelabster, l’impression 3D collaborative [partie 1] – Framboise 314, le Raspberry Pi à la sauce française….

List all VMs:

vim-cmd vmsvc/getallvms

List all snapshot for a VM :

vim-cmd vmsvc/snapshot.get <VM_ID>

Restore a snapshot :

vim-cmd vmsvc/snapshot.revert <VM_ID> <SNAPSHOT_ID> 0
